Available again ! The first anthology of this Los Angeles-based trio's music. Between 1993 and 2001 Acetone released two LP's and an EP on Vernon Yard -a Virgin subsidiary- and two LP's on Vapor, the label co-founded by Neil Young. Against a rising tide of post-Nirvana grunge and slipshod indie rock, Acetone tapped into a timeless Southern California groove by fusing elements of psychedelia, surf and country. This release coincides with Sam Sweet's book 'Hadley Lee Lightcap', a nonfiction novel that traces the backstories of Acetone's three members, of which one committed suicide in 2001, after which the band quit. Includes nine unreleased tracks.
