6th Album by this dutch singer/songwriter. The songs come straight from the heart telling tales about love, lust and longing. Beautiful and soulfully coloured by mandoline, bass, gitar, drums, keyboards and some occasional computer effects. More clearly than ever influences of Soul and Jazz shine through in the music which also reminds of early 70s acts like Little Feat, Steely Dan and JJ Cale. Pop legend IAN MATTHEWS guets on backing vocals in "What goes around" , there's a duet with Marjolein Van Der Klauw (who sounds like Bonnie Raitt) and Eric De Vries shines in "Billie J". But al the songs unmistakably have his own signature.
