Nyami Nyami Records brings the first ever reissue from the classic Zimbabwean album 'Soweto' from 1986. While staying within the Chimurenga music style - pioneered by Thomas Mapfumo and Jonah Sithole - Robson Banda and the New Black Eagles produced an exciting sound, emphasising the upbeat dance music which was popular on the dancefloors of Zimbabwe's nightlife. Mbira-based guitar licks bring a nostalgic feeling to these dancefloor gems, which were brought to the spotlight by DJ John Peel.
