Released on vinyl, 'Hammond Explosion' is a compilation that brings together many of the best and grooviest tracks that Catalan Hammond maestro Jou Cogra recorded in the period 1971-1976. Imagine Brian Auger or Jimmy Smith going tropical and then adding some Latin elements and even bits of funky psych. Back in the day Cogra's releases were extremely limited and by now most of them are impossible to find. In other words, this is a most welcome collection.
