Portland, Oregon based act Dancing Plague has been a steady presence in the dark/cold electronic music scene for quite a few years. Since 2016 Conor Knowles' solo project has been putting out one constant flow of releases creating a sonic palette rich of EBM, gothic, industrial and synth influences. On the fifth studio album, Dancing Plague continues to refine their brand of crushing darkwave. 'Elogium' explores themes of loss, regret, rebirth and growth coupled with throbbing basslines, rave synths and pounding drums. Knowles balances aggressive waves of electronics with pop sensibilities and catchy hooks.
