Rupie Edwards was one of Jamaica's most prominent producers, putting out many a hit on his label 'Success,' including the big hit 'Ire Feelings' which had significant chart success in the UK! Horus Records is proud to present here a lesser known cut produced by Rupie. 'Jamaica Serenade' is an incredibly scarce 7" that is almost impossible to find. The Rupie Edwards All Stars are fronted Herman Marques on the alto sax, a lo-fi reverb wonder! This track is also interesting as Rupie is playing the guitar, the bass and the drums - though hitting the kick with his hand holding a beater! This could be also from 1975, though we can't be sure!
