Here's an elusive set of recordings from short-lived Birmingham-based band The Hawks that was active during 1979-1981. With a line-up featuring a.o. Stephen Duffy (a.k.a. Dura Duran co-founder Stephen 'Tin Tin' Duffy) and Dave Kusworth (Jacobites), the group had an appealing, raw and jangly rock'n'roll sound. This archival release is highly recommended to fans of a.o. Robyn Hitchcock, Television Personalities, Felt and, of course, The Jacobites.
