The sophomore full-length by ambient metal outfit Low Flying Hawks that features a.o. Dale Crover (the Melvins) and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle). 'Genkaku'(which means hallucination) is simmering with waves of hopelessness and melancholy. It is more riff-filled than the post-metal shoegaze of its predecessor, overflowing with churning guitar dirges and darkly intense music-as-mood.
