Magic Cat was formed in 2010 by Massimo Di Gianfrancesco (ex vocalist from Head and the Hares) after the breaking up with the Victorians teaming up with ex bassist from the Victorians and late Head and the Hares Massimo Galati, guitarist Francesco D'onofrio from Shadows of Reflections and drummer Bruno Mirabella from the Boilers. The main idea behind was to form a band which merges several influences from '60s UK and US psych bands, Love, Velvet Underground, 13th Floor Elevators as more modern stuff like Spacemen 3 and Brian Jonestown Massacre.
