'Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse' is an epic album by American soul artist Eugene McDaniels. It's a vinyl classic with an eclectic mix of funk, soul and folk. The jazz band which is backing McDaniel adds the swing to all the incredible arrangements. 'Supermarket Blues' is a song in which he focuses on the racial acts, while 'The Parasite (For Buffy)' is a ten-minute tribute to the Native Americans. The album has been prized and sampled by the hip-hop community dozens of times. It's dark and political psychedelic soul album with excellent grooves, a masterpiece which is now available again on vinyl. The album is dedicated to Roberta Flack.
