Recorded in the spring of 2017 over three evenings. These raw, unedited, live recordings were fueled by laughter, and Azawad gunpowder tea. Mdou Moctar is one of the leading lights of electrified Tuareg music, whose rise to popularity was enabled by trading of tracks via cellphones in the Sahel region. He first came under scrutiny in the west when he appeard on Sahel Sounds' legendary compilation 'Music From Saharan Cellphones Volume 1'. He has since released three LPs for Sahel Sounds, and been touring constantly.
