Modern Studies' debut-album 'Swell To Great', aptly named after an organ stop, was written with a more or less malfunctioning Victorian harmonium at the centre of the songwriting process. This stimulating approach resulted in rich compositions that are steeped in both traditional and contemporary folk music.
