Based on a shared love of all things slow and distorted, three-piece Monumentum came to life in 2010 in a small Norwegian city called Fauske, located above the Arctic Circle. A place with midnight sun during the summer and bleak darkness the rest of the year is an ideal setting to create slow and sludgy music. This debut-LP reveals influences from such acts as Black Sabbath, Sleep, Kyuss, Weedeater, Melvins, Truckfighters and Motörhead and showcases inventive riffs as well as gut-wrenching vocals. An impressive first effort!
