The Prefects occupy a very special place in the rich heritage of UK punk and post-punk music. Fronted by Robert Lloyd (later of The Nightingales) they were a primal blast of attitude and provocation. Their music was a melange of krautrock, Beefheart, glam and the Sex Pistols. All the things that Public Image Ltd. were to be later - the Prefects were there groundbreaking and unconsciously rewriting the rules. This remastered 1978 live set from the Co-Op Suite in Birmingham features all the classic Prefects moments along with the addition of a live cover of 'Disco Stomp'.
