This is techno, yes, but not like techno as we know it. 'Vive L'Électricité De La Pansée Humaine' in places also reminds of James Holden, Four Tet, Joakim, Ivan Smagghe, Prins Thomas, Todd Terje, Harmonious Thelonious, or Africaine 80. Indeed, it's difficult to pin this music down. It's however clear that this work from Rubin Steiner is once again distinctive, marking another noteworthy step in the artist's evolution.
