SMED was formed in 2019 in Sweden, with the idea of making heavy music using downtuned guitars, inspired by '70s rock and stoner/doom. The members have been playing in a bunch of other bands such as The Graviators, Nymf, Learn by dying, Demonicus, Trollfnask, Void Commander and Sattmansitter.
