Swampwater is best remembered as Linda Ronstadt's backing band from the late '60s. Combining US country rock with influences from a.o. The Byrds, The Dillards, Hearts & Flowers, The Beach Boys and The Everly Brothers, the band's self-titled debut LP (like the also their second) dates back to 1971. Now it's reissued on CD.
