On their album 'Perpetual Happening' Thee Exciters combine the style of US garage heroes s.a. Shadows Of Knight, Standells and Count Five with proto punk à la MC5 and Stooges, plus the vibes of sun drenched Texan psychedelia à la 13th Floor Elevators, Golden Dawn and Cold Sun. The playing is tight throughout, with hard, bluesy licks and fuzzed-out guitars battling with distorted, spacey vocals. Awesome!
