The third part of the excellent 'Cumbia Beat' series, offering the best tunes from Peru's vibrant '60s and '70s cumbia scene. Peruvian cumbia brought together tropical musical styles from Colombia and Cuba, Western influences such as '60s beat and psychedelic rock, and then mixed it all with indigenous melodies and flavours from the Amazonian jungle and traditional Andean songs. Among the featured bands are Los Diablos Rojos, Los Beta 5, Los Girasoles, Los Ecos, Los Demonios Del Mantaro, Los Sanders De Nana and many more.
