The ISR Rootspective compilation focuses mainly on earlier releases of the roots reggae label Iron Sound Records. The majority of tracks appear on CD for the first time. Featured throughout the album we have contributions from a variety of artists including Asha B (percussion and vocal work), Alvin Davis (sax and flute), Kendrick Andy (vocals), Stephen Marley Wright (guitar) and Peter Roots Lewis (vocals). The rhythms are by Alien Dread, Asha B and Hi-Tech Roots Dynamics.
