Formed in June 1983 in Gillingham, Dorset, Virus were one of the more obscure bands to come out of the UK anarcho punk scene of the late '70s. They recorded the 16-track cassette album 'You Can't Ignore It Forever' in the first week of December 1984, as a 'live' album with very few overdubs. The tape was met with a very favourable response within the scene. Although some tracks from 'You Can't Ignore It Forever' have appeared on compilation albums, the cassette album itself has never been fully released on vinyl until now.
