The avant-garde trio Ambulatorio Segreto comprised Stefano Barban from Italy, Miguel A. Ruiz from Spain (a.k.a. Ventral Metaphor and Orfeon Gagarin) and Siegmar Fricke from Germany (also active as Bestattungsinstitut and Pharmakustik), who were all well known in the experimental tape-scene of the '80s and '90s. Pressed in an edition of 200 copies on ORANGE VINYL, 'Sezione Transversale' collects highlights from the trio's recordings from the period 1988-1993. Emphasized beats, catchy melodies, vocal samples, strange loop-constructions and gloomy ambiences dominate the rather stunning material.
