In this sense this is a trapezoidal record. A deliberate act of magic. The music follows its own rules. There is a lot of crosslinked percussion, ethnic elements amputated from the tradition they were created for, synths which are not synths, trumpets which sound as guitars. And they permeate the psyche of the listener and expand through the cosmos.
