John Davis is probably best known as a member of The Palace Brothers and The Folk Implosion, which also included Lou Barlow. This DOUBLE-CD of solo-recordings fatures the tracks from his debut cassette 'Stars & Songs' (1993), the 7-inch EP 'R.I.P., D.I.Y.' (1993) and the LP 'Pure Night' (1994), along with a 1995 EP that was originally tucked into a split single with Sandra Bell. The set also adds seven bonus tracks, six of which previously unreleased. The extensive liner notes were written by John Davis himself and Adam Green of The Moldy Peaches.
