Refrigerator's 11th full-length 'High Desert Lows' was produced by Simon Joyner, who plays and sings on a number of songs on the record, along with members of his band Ghosts. This work calls out to the more pastoral sounds of the band's 'Comedy Minus One' album, with viola, cello, vibes, slide guitar and wurlitzer dotting the edges of nearly every song. All in all, this is a very different affair than the loud squall of the preceding record 'Temple City'.
