Originally part of Faust's 2021 box set release commemorating the band's 50th anniversary, 'Momentaufnahme I' now sees its own stand alone release by popular demand. This is for all those who missed out on the limited edition box set release. Both parts of 'Momentaufnahme' collect music recorded at the band's studio between 1971 and 1974 in a similar vein to the way in which 'The Faust Tapes' (released in 1973) was assembled. The tracks on both albums feature minimal electronic pulses, ambient dreamscapes, vocal collages, heavy drone, ritualistic percussion and psychedelic grooves.
