For this release the Norwegian progressive jazz trio rewrote music from the first movement of Olivier Messiaen's 'Turangalila' symphony as well as some of its own music. With 'Sleeping Beauty' the three musicians explore even heavier riffs than before, seasick grooves and tempi, and deeper ambient soundscapes. King Crimson, Magma, Tony Williams Lifetime, electric Miles and '60s free energy jazz may be mentioned as possible references.
