Ebo Taylor is one of Ghana's finest musicians and also highly regarded as a producer and arranger. Taylor was heavily influential in the unique sound that emerged from the country in the '70s, which combined traditional Ghanaian music, Afro-beat, jazz and funk rhythms. 'Twer Nyame' ('Trust In God') was originally released in 1978 on Philips-West African Records. These are classic highlife sounds with uptempo grooves, energetic vocals, tons of percussion, appealing guitar parts, a sharp horn section and tatsy organ lines.
